Carrie DeValk Chorzempa
Friends,
I wanted to pass along the very sad news that Carrie DeValk Chorzempa passed away at home on April 3rd. Carrie was diagnosed with colon cancer a little more than three years ago. Despite debilitating side effects from the chemo, Carrie never lost enthusiasm for spending time with her family and friends.
Carrie's family is creating a "Memory Book" for her husband, Dave, and girls Charlotte (6) and Celia (4). They are compiling thoughts, stories, memories (long or short) and pictures regarding Carrie. You can forward them (by May 1) to Carrie's sister-in-law, Lisa Chorzempa, at 817 N. Marion, Oak Park, IL 60302; e-mail Schainis@comcast.net.
I know that Carrie enjoyed going to our 20-year reunion and catching up with old friends. Sometimes, life really is too short.
Sincerely,
Mari Ujka Paulson
