Thanks, everyone!

A huge "thank you" goes out to everyone who attended our Friday and Saturday night events! According to our final tally, there were 171 adults (plus 30 or so kids) in attendance on Friday and 220 people at CD & Me on Saturday. By all accounts, everyone had a great time and we've gotten nothing but positive feedback from everyone about their experience, so we couldn't be more thrilled with the results!

Our photos from Saturday night at CD & Me are now online at Snapfish.com. Registered members of our forum/message board can view a sampling of the photos in the gallery, along with photos that other classmates have uploaded. A link to our Snapfish album can be found in the comments of all of our photos in the Gallery.

If you were unable to attend the Saturday night event at CD & Me, we have extra copies of the reunion program on sale for '86 classmates at $10 each. To buy the book online, just log on to this site using your registered profile information. Once you've done that, you'll see a Purchase Programs link on the left side of the screen.

Last but not least, we just wanted to mention that this web site will stay up and running indefinitely. That's been the plan all along, so we hope you all will continue to have fun, stay in contact and plan future (perhaps smaller) events with much greater frequency.

CSHS86 Scholarship Winner Awarded

If you ask anyone who was there, they'd say our 20th reunion was over with nearly six months ago. But, actually, the last of the reunion events were just wrapped up on Tuesday, May 1st at the Sandburg Senior Awards Ceremony.

We, as a committee, decided very early on in the planning stages that we wanted to give something back to the school in the form of a college tuition scholarship. It seemed like a fairly lofty goal at the time, but with the generous support of advertisers in our printed booklet, we were able to raise $3000, all of which would be awarded to the student we hand-picked as the winner.

Carrie DeValk Chorzempa

It's with great sadness that we pass along the news that our classmate and co-valedictorian Carrie DeValk Chorzempa passed away on April 3rd. Carrie was diagnosed with colon cancer a little more than three years ago. Despite debilitating side effects from the chemo, Carrie never lost enthusiasm for spending time with her family and friends.

1985-86 Yearbook Supplement

Did you know there was a mini-yearbook put out after our graduation? We didn't either, until just recently. We managed to borrow a copy from a fellow classmate and have scanned it for Sandburg alumni to download from this web site. All you need to do is register a user name in our Forum and you will have access to it in the Reunion Discussion section. Feel free to spread the word to anyone else you think might be interested in seeing it for themselves.
